Eight people are arrested following an NIA raid on 19 sites across four states, including Jharkhand, targeting an ISIS module.

On Monday, the NIA team raided 19 locations in four states including Jharkhand against the ISIS module. Meanwhile, eight people including Minaj, leader of the banned Ballari module, have been arrested. The NIAM team has conducted raids in Bokaro and Jamshedpur in Jharkhand, while raids have also been conducted in Ballari and Bengaluru in Karnataka.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday raided 19 locations in four states of the country, which were linked to the banned Ballari module linked to the terrorist organization Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Eight people, including Ballari module leader Minaj, have been arrested.

This terrorist group has been active in carrying out IED blasts etc. to create terror. The locations where NIA has conducted raids include Ballari and Bengaluru in Karnataka, Amravati, Mumbai and Pune in Maharashtra, Bokaro and Jamshedpur in Jharkhand and Delhi.

The eight accused arrested in this raid were carrying out terrorist activities in support of the ISIS terrorist organization. They were led by Minaj aka Solomon. In this raid, NIA has recovered explosive materials, including sulphur, potassium nitrate, charcoal, gunpowder, sugar and ethanol, sharp weapons, innumerable cash, incriminating documents, smartphones and other digital devices.
